Blessed

It is all too easy to fall into that state of mind where we think, "my lot in life is rough," "I've got it harder than others," "I need help and prayers," and there can be plenty of times like that in life that are completely real. But lately I've been seeing how that state of mind can so easily turn into a state of being, and at that stage, we have become victims. Our thinking is victim-like (everything happens to me), our response is victim-like (everything is beyond my control) and the chain reaction is that we create a vibrational frequency that is centered around hardship, anguish and endless toil.

It's a thin line between recognizing a tricky spot to navigate in life and actually living the vibrational frequency of only tricky spots, so thin that we often don't even recognize it, but it is a worthy endeavor to try to do so.

One way to start is to look at the difficult things you are going through and seeing whether you are capable of seeing these things as blessings. The perceptive switch from "I am in need," to "I am blessed" is one of the most powerful changes we can make in our thinking because it stretches both ways. It will reach deep deep down inside us and really begin to question our belief systems (i.e. "everything has to be hard and difficult") and it stretches outward because feeling blessed changes our vibrational frequency to blessed and naturally attracts more blessings.

We are not a victim to our circumstances, we are victims to our responses. And yet - here lies our greatest strength - because we have the power to change our responses. Once we're aware of them.

So - meditate on it a little bit and see what you come up with. Is life "hard," "difficult," "frustrating," "unfair,"? Are the things that happen to you hardships or blessings? You hold the key.

Blessings.
