Finding Balance

In today's world it's all about finding balance between the right living we yearn for, the soulful, spiritual connection, the passion we can live, the way we can serve, and being supported in it with abundance...and the living we find.

Particularly here in the US life is slightly haphazard in that way. There is this feeling of having to sell your soul in order to either survive or move up the ladder. One is fear, the other is greed - neither nurture that yearning for right living, neither support spirit or passion.

Ours is a life where you are literally run off your legs to just survive, where is the passion in that? You get so busy that there's no time for spirit, or joy, or compassion, or service, or laughter. All that's left is the yearning, so you work harder, get in deeper, lose more of yourself in an endless attempt to find value in life.

Finding balance isn't easy. But it is possible. It's in the choices you have and the decisions you make everyday, no matter how small. It's the decision, not to stress about something. It's the decision to choose quality time, rather than little nothings. It's the decision to enjoy, appreciate and even love what you are doing, rather than hate it and resent it. It's the decision to find the time to move and feel good about it. It's the decision to choose healthy, wholesome nourishment.

Everyday alot of little decisions add up to smart choices. I just watched a program about the living habits of people who live the longest. Along with a healthy diet and plenty of wholesome exercise and movement, there was a sense of purpose, the ability to relax, laughter and joy with loved ones, and no worries. In their lifestyles, these are a given, in ours they are a choice.

Choose well.

Blessings.
