Are you the victim? Or are you empowered? There are only these two - and riding in the middle doesn't work. Which are you?
The victim blames everyone or everything outside him/herself for his/her own circumstance, and is thereby completely disempowered. For how can you be sure you can ever change anyone else? You can't be. Each person is as individual as leaves - you can never be sure which way the wind will blow them. If your happiness depends on someone else changing - boy you're in for a rough ride. You don't have control of other peoples thoughts and actions and you're leaving it up to them to make you happy.
Empowered, on the other hand, seeks only to change him- or herself. For that is completely within their power - they can change their perspective, their thought patterns, their actions and behaviors, their habits, their talk, their walk - the empowered can change almost anything they want.
And because of that, the empowered have a much wider span of opportunities in life. They don't need to wait for someone else to change, they change themselves. They don't need to wait for someone else to do something, they are free to do it themselves.
What a world of difference.
Today, take a good, hard, long look at yourself. Listen to how you think and listen to how you talk and look at who you are making responsible for your well-being and happiness. If it's not you - you're in victim-mode. If it is you - congratulations - you've got the whole world in your hands!
Blessings.
