What are you waiting for? Are you waiting until tomorrow to love fully, urgently and passioantely? Is there some kind of perfect moment at which you will open your heart? Will a different moment be a better time to live your passion?
"I cannot count the times I have cursed our lack of urgency. If I ever love again, I will not wait to love as best as I can. We thought we were young and that there would be time to love well sometime in the future. This is a terrible way to think. It is no way to live, to wait to love."
— Dave Eggers What is the What
Why do we wait to love, wait to laugh, wait to be who we really are? She said she had only ever met one person who was truly, genuinely happy. She had met her long, long ago. When she had spoken to her, the woman told her she had died, in a drowning accident, and was brought back to life. She knew no fear.
And that's it, isn't it. We wait because we are afraid. But do we really have to have a near-death experience before we can become fearless?
There is another way - just don't wait. Don't make excuses. Live fully, love wholly, and live the passion of your heart. Don't sidle out of the responsiblity for living out loud today. Laugh freely, hug frequently, speak your truth quietly and clearly, be who you are and love it.
What are you waiting for? Nothing (truly) could be worse than to look back and realize that you were waiting to love as best you could and missed the chance, waiting to live as best you could and missed the chance, waiting to be who you really are and missing the chance.
What one thing can you do today, instead of putting it off for one more day?
Blessings.
