Break Out!

To find passion
we must refuse
to sit in the rut
of all we know
we must break out
of the chains
that bind our bodies
and our thinking
to express passion
we must excuse
ourselves politely
and leave the table
to dance a jig
in the other room
we must take
a different route
and smell roses
along the way
that we might
not have smelled
if we had taken
the same old trail
as always
To live passion
we must be brave
and risk
what we do not know
and open our hearts
from behind safe doors
to let in the sunshine
and the love
of others
and let out the love
we hide
Break out!
Passion is
waiting.
