Choosing What Affirms Us

We have, at every twist and turn, every day, the opportunity to make the choice of what affirms us. If we dwell in negative spaces (I am bad, I am unworthy, I am unlovable, I am...) then of course the people we seek to be around will be the ones who affirm these very things in us. They will be the people who inspire us to break down, slack off, do things that are not healthy for us, etc., anything to prove the point!

These deep-rooted beliefs are tough to conquer, but they become nearly impossible to overcome when we seek out the people who affirm and reinforce the negativity.

How very difficult it is to choose differently; and how vital and imperative as well. By choosing to spend time dwelling on our goodness, and being around people who affirm goodness in us, we are choosing to take the reins for our own happiness in life. We are choosing to admit that we even have the right to be happy, and then we are choosing to make that right the #1 cause in our life.

Choose to see your goodness, and refuse to be around people who don't. Watch yourself blossom and grow, full of life and exuberance, passion and love - because you have given yourself permission to believe that you are beautiful, wonderful, lovely, delightful, perfect, and full of good, because you have let the light of your goodness shine and are reaffirmed by all of life.

Blessings.
