We hide our truest selves under the bravado that covers our weaknesses and our pain. We spend our lives battling the ravages of the pain and despair of feeling unworthy, unliked, unloved, when one day we recognize that it was the pain itself we feared.
One day, when we learn to let go, we recognize that pain is just pain, and it means nothing more and nothing less than that. It is only there as a the reminder that to love takes great courage.
Take courage. The bravado that hides the pain, also hides you from life and life from you, while love opens every pore to life and sucks it in with gusto and joy. Take courage, for pain will surely pass, but love lasts forever.
Blessings.
