There is resistance, or there is Suchness, or perfect presence, where you flow so entirely with the moment that there is nothing left but you, love and what is happening; no thoughts about it, no fear, no judgment, no pre-conception; nothing but you, and love and what is happening.
Imagine yourself in a huge harness. Behind you there are 8 of those bulky,hard-muscled guys hanging on to the rope tied to your harness. Imagine trying to walk away from that, how very hard it is, how much effort you have to put forth just to take a step. That's resistance.
Now take off that harness, walk freely, almost jauntily, happily away - that is love.
We can take off that horrible harness which makes our every move, our every step, our every action so very slow, difficult and painful, simply by loving everything that we do, by loving the moment. We can grimace when the kids are happily making alot of noise, or we can immerse ourselves in their play and laugh off some of the stress of our day. We can be angry about the stress we feel because we have to cook dinner, or we can appreciate the fragrance of the onions and garlic as they simmer and the fresh smell of the vegetables we are chopping. We can stress about anything at all that we have to do, or we can appreciate it, embrace it, love it. One way will feel like that harness and one way will feel jaunty and free and make you fall in love with life all over again.
Loving what you do is taking life down to the Suchness of the moment. Nothing is done absent-mindedly, become completely present, and appreciate the fragrance of the moment, the feel of the cup in your hand, the sensation of the tea as it rolls over your tongue and shares flavor with every tastebud in your mouth, the hug of a friend, the cool nipping feel to the winter air, the dense blackness of night with the shimmer of billions of stars, the feel of the car as it flows at ease through traffic...
Whatever it is you are doing - do it with vim and vigor, feel it, be it, immerse yourself in it, and love it. There are other ways, but there are none so joyful, so free, and so blessed with ease.
Blessings
