Silence

Not everyone can handle silence. For some people, silence is even painful. But in silence is strength, balance, and peace, an important counterpart to the busy-ness of everyday life. It is sheer necessity for our brains.

It is said that when you pray you are talking to God, and when you meditate, God is talking to you. That place of deep, deep silence is where our connection to the Infinite is nurtured - that is meditation.

This is not the silence of thoughts, the silence of words, the silence of music. This is the loud, rushing, roaring internal silence of molecular energy. It is powerful, passionate, fathomless and infinite in depth.

It's a gift. Nurture silence. "Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence..."

Blessings.
