Love is the Only Answer

Love without honor, love without commitment, love without grace, love without projection of power of sacrifice is no love at all. It is the monster that will destroy you and the environments surrounding you. It has become fear.

Love is a BIG thing, where is it? In today's modern, fast-paced society, we dance around on the edge of it, stay well enough away from it to avoid over-exposure and possible pain, tiptoe around the sticky parts - where's love today?

It's basically buried under layers and layers of fear. Fear of pain, fear of rejection, fear of humiliation, fear of abandonment, fear of happiness, fear of joy, fear of intimacy...fear, fear, fear. And fear is the monster that destroys us and everything we touch.

The honor, the commitment, the grace - they are all for ourselves, not for anyone else. The sacrifice? It's the fear we sacrifice to love, and love well. We are so afraid of losing ourselves to someone else, but what about losing ourselves to our fear! It's much, much worse, because we get lost in an isolated, abandoned realm of fear that no one else can pull us out of. There is no safety net in fear-based behavior, it's an illusion; we lose ourselves completely.

Not so in love. In love we are not isolated. We look in the mirrors of our loved one's eyes each day and see ourselves, for better or worse, and this is our salvation. This is what gives us initiative and desire to evolve into a better person each day. Love is the only answer. It disipates fear, melts it down and cashes it in for beauty, wonder, joy, intimacy, and an unmatchable feeling of Oneness. Drop the fear and choose love - for you.
