The Healing Power of Self-Love

Sometimes the impossible becomes possible - - just because we are willing to stop the stories that prevent us from believing and therefore living a reality that is different than we know. Yes, it takes some courage, but it also takes a lot of self-love. We have to be willing to trust ourselves, be courageous, and step into the unknown. And we have to take care of ourselves.

Self-love entails responsibility and a continual growth and learning process of life. We learn that we will rest easier if we [fill in the blank], work better when we [fill in the blank], are more comfortable when we [fill in the blank], experience a feeling of happiness when we [fill in the blank.]

The thing about self-love is that we so often already know what will make our life easier and us happier in the process, it's just that it's also so often different from what we 'know' or it requires that we turn some attention inward. These are unusual in the overstuffed sensory experience of our current society, and take some getting used to again. Sit in silence? Rest when tired? Do work that truly inspires us, rather than just pays the bills? These are tough calls, but worthwhile because the healing power of self-love is that we come back into synchronicity with ourselves. And when that happens, synchronicity in life happens.

It takes some courage to practice self-love, but it is practice that pays off in a life that is not only well-lived but nurturing and joyful.

Blessings.
