There is a time to acknowledge that if something doesn't work out easily and in flow, that it's not meant to, and let it go. The body calls for things, the mind works overtime and we set ourselves as Wargods and Wargoddesses against anything and everything, assuming we have to use our will to make it work.
Maybe the lesson isn't in things "working." It could quite as well be that the real lesson lies in letting go of the expectation and releasing the attachment to a circumstance+ an outcome. There simply isn't any guarantee that the expectation, circumstance and outcome would really serve you.
"Create and build in little steps; do not ask for bombs to hit, explosions are not constructive." (G.S)
Sometimes we ask for things, want things, and try to make things happen that just aren't the right size, shape or time. When we fight it, as in - may the force be with us as we fight till the bitter end to get it - we lose a little bit of ourselves. Who We Really Are gets buried underneath the ego trip of "I think this is best, dammit," and we end up in patterns that diminish our authenticity, genuineness, and sincerity.
So, despite what you want, and what you think is right and the way you think things have to be, when they don't go that way, instead of gathering your swords, maybe just take a deep breath and remember that country song that says, "Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers." (G.B.)
Blessings.
