Your words make you who you are. The yogis and ancients believe that there is something called an akashic record, and in it are recorded not only our deeds, but also our words and our thoughts.
Every word we utter of disparagement, every oath of dislike, envy, hatred, every complaint, these act forcibly upon the consciousness of who we are. Said often enough, we become them.
It's truly fascinating when we become an observer of humanity by listening to the exclamations of those around us, by listening to the lull of how people define themselves through their constant flow of words and phrases. That which we speak is like a proclamation of who we are.
Every proclamation has its vibratory frequency, you can be yelling, "sh@!, f@$!, sh@!, f@$!, sh@!, f@$!" or you can be yelling, "God, God, God." The difference is not just phonetic but also a frequency. Yelling cuss words can feel very relieving at times, but the vibratory frequency is animal fear. Good to recognize, fine occasionally, good to let go of for the most part. Yelling, "I hate this," or "I hate that," may relieve some feelings too, but it, again is the vibratory frequency of animal fear.
If you ask people what they want in life, they won't answer "animal fear." People will answer "human spirit:" love, intimacy, connection, joy, happiness, communication, peace...
If what you seek is human spirit, consider shifting your language out of animal fear. When you say things like: I hate..., this sucks... sh@!, f@$!, you're whipping up the fear. You can shift it. Every religion and spiritual path in the world offers any number of possibilities, or you can simply count. 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 and 7 and 8 and 9 and 10 and 9 and 8 and 7 and 6 and 5 and 4 and 3 and 2 and 1... or you can just breathe and let go of the fear.
Whatever path you're on, find the frequency that is uplifting and choose some select words from that energy to utilize in the maze of life, so that when the unexpected pops up, you don't get lost in the swirl of animal fear energy, but uplift yourself and those around you by remembering that your quest is for human spirit and only human spirit.
Blessings.
