who we are

what light is there
but the light within
what flame can burn
igniting passion
into faith
into action
into love
but that light within
that which we seek
it is not outside us
it is locked
deep within
the desire
to dance a crazy dance
walk a silly line
talk the way we feel
and feel each moment
full of life
as it happens
rather than processed
and polished to perfection
with a sheen so bright
we can't see the truth anymore
nay, nay, it is all within
the strength and the power
to move the mountains
of our lifetimes
with the magic
of who we are
that light is there
to build a stair
to reach the stars
we dream of
when we love
ourselves enough
to seek within
instead of without
to touch the flame that burns
because we are who we are
which ignites the passion
into faith
into action
into Love
