In your mind, in your mouth, in your life

Our lives are composed of the actions we create through our thoughts and our words, so what starts out in the mind is actually what our lives will turn out to be. If you think all the time “I’m broke, I’m broke, I’m broke” your mind is programming your language, which programs your actions. You will act and behave like a person who is broke.

This is what the quantum science around the law of attraction is really all about. No, you’re not supposed to go out and spend money like a millionaire, but you do need to address the underlying thoughts and words. By starting at that very core, the root, the underlying belief system in your thought world, you can begin to change the physical manifestations and outcomes in your physical world.

There is no fool-proof formula for instant success on this. It is an on-going process that requires continual assessment and reassessment. But here are some tips to help you get started…

1. Listen

Listen to what you are thinking and/or saying. This is not an opportunity to guilt-trip yourself out, to lay blame or trash yourself, this is an objective opportunity to listen to what you say, so that you can dig down and find what the core beliefs around that subject are.

2. Write

Write down what you find. Writing your findings down makes it a more concrete process of evaluation and change. If you write down that you said “I’m broke” yesterday in 14 different variations, you have something concrete to work with. If you can, also write down the situations that you find yourself saying these things. It is pretty normal for us to say things like this when we are trying to impress people or solicit empathy or sympathy for a situation, because it is empowering, even when the statement is negative.

3. Take action

There is a simple process for changing beliefs that I have written about before. It is such a powerful method that it’s worth explaining again, so here goes. Once you have a list of “beliefs,” write them down on a clean sheet of paper. Split the paper in half and leave room in the right column to write down a corresponding positive belief. For instance if you write “I’m broke” on the left side, you could write something like “I am financially stable” on the other side. You can write whatever you like on that side, but it should be in the active form (I am) and realistic (for instance you might not want to write “I am dripping in gold and jewels” if you are struggling to become financially stable). To stabilize these new, positive beliefs, take each one and repeat it like a mantra using your breath. Breathe in (hold your breath) and silently repeat the new belief 3 times. Exhale saying the new belief once out loud. Repeat 3-11 times for each new belief.

This process will start revealing how you are commanding and commandeering your life in a particular fashion without ever having been aware you were doing it. You can expect some pretty intense aha moments, and possibly even a little emotional turmoil as you begin to shift away. You have to remember that you have had and carried these thoughts and beliefs with you for a long time because they served you in some way. We only ever keep what serves us. Now you are giving yourself the opportunity to re-evaluate what is meaningful and useful for you in your life and what thoughts and beliefs are going to get you there.

Eventually you can start using this method to manifest (yes, even the dripping gold and jewels). But take your time. There’s a lot there, and it was there for a reason, so give yourself permission to go through and clear out what is no longer necessary, while you bring in what is positive and strong for you first.

You deserve it.

Blessings.
