How Much Do You Love Yourself

Here is the question of the day...How much do you love yourself?

Do you love yourself enough to stop when you want to do something unhealthy? Do you love yourself enough to make good choices for you? Do you love yourself enough to take time for the things that are important to you? Do you love yourself enough to make your needs a priority?

Because in this busy world, answering yes to any of those questions is not an easy task.

How many times have you flown and listened to the stewardess/steward explaining all the safety features? They let that mask drop and they tell you to put the mask on yourself before trying to assist a child. If you are a parent traveling with a child, they will actually come around and explain that to you again, personally.

And the reason they have to do that is because so many of us (perhaps women in particular) are all too sidetracked from our own needs and completely pre-occupied with the needs of others.

In general, service is the highest of all highs on our lists of priorities, but service is not possible if our service vehicles, our own body, mind and spirit, are not in good working order. A car that is empty can't drive you anywhere.

Today's world is so demanding. Instead of the resources of the tribe, instead of each person doing their part, each of us individually tries to do ALL the parts. It's insane. But the worst part is that we exhaust ourselves trying to do so, and kill our spirit by feeling inadequate, unworthy, incapable and just downright bad at what we do.

Do today the question of the day is - How much do you love yourself and do you love yourself enough to take care of you?

I hope so. You are so worth it.

Blessings.
