Shine Your Light

It is not for us in life to hide our lights. MW wrote: "There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure." We were given the most incredible gift - who we are - and that gift shouldn't lie unopened, be tossed aside, or hidden under any vestige of self-doubt.

We don't have to prove ourselves worthy of it by how we dress or how we talk or what we do, we were born worthy. We don't have to get permission to be who we really are, the permission is the light inside over whose switch we alone preside.

Life is the playground and we are the players. By being fully present who we really are is given the opportunity to shine through and it should. Don't let others tell you that you shouldn't shine, don't even think they have that kind of permission. Remember, you are the sole owner of that light switch, and it's up to you.

The rest of that quote goes: "And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

If there is no other reason than let this be the one - let this be your opportunity to serve the rest of the human race, by letting your own light shine as brightly as you can. Don't hide yourself behind others who diminish your light in any way. It's what you owe life. Shine, shine, shine - you are beautiful.

Blessings.
