The Stars

I look up into the darkness
and see the star studded galaxy
in magnificent sparkly array
as if it were only as far away
as the reach of my hand
and my heart is gladdened
In that moment of gladness
the shooting star prances across the sky
just for me
I am blessed
by so much beauty
and the moment of gladness
instills itself inside my heart
to dispel the sadness and
underscore the knowledge
that all is well because it is
as it should be.
