Owning It

It all comes back to this - as long as there is some semblance of blame as to why you are the way you are, you have no power to change a thing.

If you're saying things like - I grind my teeth because I had a hard childhood, or I'm this way because somebody did that to me, or I'm stressed because of work, school, relationship, [fill in the blank]...

As long as you think that any condition in your life exists because of something outside yourself, there is nothing you can do to change a thing. You must sit and suffer in it. And in fact, I am beginning to wonder if it isn't a subconscious plot to keep us in suffering, because that suffering with the old and known, is more certain than something new and unknown.

That aside, the only question is - are you empowered or disempowered? Do you have the power to change something you don't like in your life or do you not? It's that simple. If you think a condition exists because of someone or something else, you have just disinherited your own personal power; you don't own the power behind why you are what you are; you can't change it. That's it.

We are what we are because of the choices we make, not because of external circumstances. And until you know this, until you completely own this - you are stuck.

So today, listen to your own speak, and hear it well. Listen to the words you choose. Listen to what you are saying is the reason for the way you are. And then make a choice to take back your power by taking back the responsibility and owning it.

Alas, there is no other way, no way around, no shortcuts, no easier paths. Take back your power by taking back the responsibility for your life and owning it.

"Happiness is your birthright."

Go out in the world, bless the world and be happy.

- Blessings.
