Honesty - dishonesty. It takes alot of courage to be honest, more courage than bungee jumping, that's for sure. Honesty is a place where the human soul meets absolute reality, and doesn't fight back. Dishonesty is like not being able to bear to have reality be what it is, and lying it out of existence. Or trying. But how ineffectual; it doesn't change their reality one iota.
It takes alot of courage to be honest. You have to look at things as they are and not through the rose-colored lenses you would like to see them through. You can't paint a face on to problems - they don't go away; whether they are personal problems or world-sized problems, they just end up looking like a bad make-up job.
Peel off the layers, look at life as it is. Forget for a moment what you would like things to be and see what IS. It takes courage, but that courage is rewarded with the ability to change the world.
