People tend to like having an exaggerated sense of difference, it covers their fears of being inferior or not as worthy, but the differences, exaggerated or otherwise, have little value just the same.
Really we are all just humans struggling for the same things - peace of mind, a feeling of value, being needed for something, being loved, being fed, clothed, sheltered and warm, sharing human spirit. There is no amount of anything that can overtake these principle human similarities, not religion, not politics, not different cultures, languages or looks.
And - the world needs us to remember this lesson. Now, or even sooner. Because it is this basic understanding that allows us to recognize that the other person is us, and because the world needs us to remember this vital lesson, so that we will stop shooting down people we consider foes because they are different, and stop judging people because their ways are different, and stop hating people because we don't understand their customs and most of all stop exploiting people because we somehow believe that our need is greater or that we are somehow superior.
Wake up today to the fact that we are the same. The current condition of the world needs this consciousness - now, or even sooner.
Blessings.
