There is the cactus - as thorny as can be, big and unwieldy, but it has just blossomed with the most intensely brilliant purple flowers. We expect one thing from life, but it can, without any help from us, any input or any direction, just blossom into something else, something more beautiful than we could ever imagine, certainly nothing we could expect.
Solstice is upon us and the energy is intense. The world is all shook up and we are confronted with every possible hurdle, barrier, and frustrating thing in the way of Life As We Knew it.
And now, as in every time of change, you have two alternatives - either you can get angry about it, fight, fume, rage, be upset, emote, and emote some more that it's not how you wanted it (or any number of forms of more passive resistance) OR you can let go of the picture you had of how it has to be and draw a different picture. You can insist that it has to be this way or no way, but life has its own ideas.
The intensity of energy right now is one of those perfect opportunities to do just that - let down the shield of what you think should be and open yourself to other possibilities. It is your thoughts that lock you into possibilities that have broken and are no longer helpful. But it is altogether possible to change your thoughts.
The pictures we draw are just pictures. We can choose to change the them, we can choose to change our thoughts. We can choose to take on all the bumpy, frazzled energy of the day and put it to good use.
What will you choose?
Blessings.
