Reject Nothing

We ask and ask and ask, every day in life, and particularly in our "modern," western way of life. We always want more. What would happen if we didn't - what would happen if we all arbitrarily decided that for now, for one month, or one year, what we have is quite enough.

Can you imagine? All consumerism would stop for a year, people would sit back and relax for a year. People would maybe strike up conversations instead of seeking the next latest, greatest distracting diversion, they would communicate with each other, perhaps even see each other for the first time in a long time if there was nothing else in the way.

We often miss out on what is being given to us in life, we end up having to reject things - because we're busy asking seeking, yearning, wanting; all of which actually block the process of receiving. How much are we passing by because we are so busy reaching for something else?

To reject nothing requires that we learn to sit where we are; an antithesis to the constant impulsive and instantly gratifying I want it I want it I want it of our modern consumer culture. What would happen if we sat back? What would happen if we relaxed? What would happen if we just allowed things to flow to us, instead of being completely hyped out trying to get things?

What would happen is that we would attract what we need, appreciate what we have, and learn gratitude. Reject nothing! Letting that happen would be totally worth it!

Blessings.
