The Light of Your Love

Forget for just one moment, the idea of getting even. Just for a moment allow yourself to suspend the way you have been brought to believe that it makes things fair, or will ever make you feel better, bigger, or more powerful. And consider - for just this moment - that your greatest weapon is your love.

Real love - which has nothing whatsoever to do with power, greed, lust, or the hankering for anything - is the brightest light there is on the planet, and when you shine that, there is nothing that can withstand it.

Evil is darkness and darkness can't handle the light. Pulling out fear to match fear heightens it. Fear is darkness, and it fleas in the light. Those who perpetrate the darker arts of hate, resentment, anger, blame, and fear both benefit and suffer from the light of love. They can't handle it, but they can't conquer it; they can't withstand it, and so they have to leave it be.

If you must fight, use your greatest weapon. Find the love in your heart and shine it like the brightest light around you. There is no greater protection, there is no more effective weapon. Fear would happily perpetuate itself forever, as would darkness, but neither have any strength against the light of your love.
