Kindness

"Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving creates love."

Tao Te Ching

Kindness is the breath taken and the moment of consideration that separates self from selflessness. In the endless surge to satisfy the ego, kindness is pushed aside for interests closer to home. Yet in kindness is the greatest, deepest and most profound satisfaction that can be experienced, and the deepest, most fulfilling love.

Kindness is the difference between the unconsidered, judgmental, complaint of the moment and the truest, purest gratitude. Because in that gratitude there is the acknowledgement that what we have now is a beautiful, blessed thing, the single most beautiful and blessed moment, Now. Because in gratitude we are taking the time to honor the moment, savor it, appreciate it, love it rather than diss it.

In every moment, in every interaction there is the choice to approach it in kindness or in Me-ness. If you stop and take a breath and ask - "is this really about me?," you give yourself the opportunity to act less rashly and more in service. And in service is the highest love, the most profound experience of giving, the kindest thing you can do for yourself.

Blessings.
