I heard once that women love as much as they are permitted in terms of how much time a man gives them. If it's only a date next Tuesday, her capacity is shrunken, if it's longer term plans, her capacity grows, if it is a lifetime, her capacity to love becomes infinite.
To be able to love all the way is what we all long for even in the earliest days of childhood. Children are simply seeking our time and focus so that they can love infinitely. And as we grow we bring this desire with us, only it gets more and more guarded the more fear we learn about and adopt as our own.
Still - the heart yearns to love completely, infinitely, and with reckless abandon.
In the pursuit of happiness, this has to be our goal: to create the space where fear is unnecessary and can be dropped, and where it is safe to love, where love can flow easily and freely in an infinite capacity. Happiness is your birthright. Happiness is the inalienable right you are given by the Creator.
Start with a moment and grow outward until you can embrace every moment of your life and love with reckless abandon. Yes it will require change, and change requires courage, but imagine the inexpressable joy of the space you create wherein you can love with reckless abandon.
Blessings.
