The Power Within

The trouble with change is that people simply don't always know how to change a situation; and yet, change doesn't generally come from wishful thinking either. Yes, you may have to vision a change first, but there are other, vastly imperative steps to be taken before that wished for change can take place.

Complaining won't do it, being in a bad mood about things won't do it, being hurt and offended about the way things are won't do it... change happens when you make it happen. When you take responsibility for your own responses, you become empowered to change those responses. When you are willing to be in the moment, rather than off dreaming about how much nicer it would be if only, you become empowered to make a difference in what the moment looks like. When you are willing to create a plan of change and work it step-by-step, you become empowered to create the change you want to see.

No one can ever be as empowered to change your life as you are. You might find inspiration from others - that's a wonderful thing. You might have experiences that juggle you and jiggle you until you recognize things, have insights and ah-ha moments - and those are wonderful gifts. But it is you and you alone who makes your life what it is.

In our disposable society we think that we can just screw around, never take things seriously, mess up everything and just replace broken goods, and parts, and hearts, along the way. Then it's the manufacturer's fault that our life sucks. But who bought the stuff? Who chose the path, who chooses each day? You're it. You are the sole proprietor and your decisions make this business of life work or not. You can be as pissy as you want, as bummed as you want, complain as much as you want, but if you want change in your life, if you want change anything in the world, this is your call to action.

You don't have to know in advance how to change to make change happen. Today I invite you to look at the things that don't feel right in your life and forget about reacting to them. Instead, take proactive measures to create different outcomes, to create the change that will give your life the look and feel that makes you feel good, good, good. You have that power within you. It is perhaps the greatest power of all. Go for it!

Blessings.
