Patience

That which we know nothing about is given to us in scenes and episodes in almost tedious repitition; to learn; as a gift. (thank you.) Like battleships we barge forward in life, but patience calls us back, time and time again, to take smaller steps, to smell the roses (or perhaps the fish) along the way and to remember silence as a path of balance.

Patience calls us to stop and say "Thank You," rather than rushing forward saying, "more, more, more!" Patience would have us be content with what is, no matter what the circumstance; and held within that is the need to be true to ourselves, not to overtax our strength, not to overspend our budget, not to accept half-baked bread, not to rush so quickly as to wreak havoc on ourselves.

Sacred patience, such a gift, one we would so often refuse, one we so dearly need. As with all gifts, I encourage you to open your arms to embrace it wholly, and say, "Thank you" loud and clearly.

Blessings.
