Wisdom of Simplicity

There is some wisdom to simplicity. The flower awakening stretches its face to the sun, and curls up at night. The dog who is tired lays down to sleep. The child wanting love climbs fearlessly into your lap and snuggles in comfortably.

There need not be all this thought involved and in fact the thoughts often cloud the expression of our true selves - if I do that then they will think I'm...[whatever]. There is wisdom in the simplicity of just being who you really are. If you are sad, cry; if you are happy, laugh; if you are hungry eat; if you are not hungry don't eat; if you need to move, get up and move; if you need to be still, be still.

Can we be so afraid of being hurt that we forget how to be kind? When it is so difficult and so painful to live in fear and so peace-giving and fulfilling to be kind? Can we be so afraid of being hurt that we forget how to be kind to ourselves?

We spend our lives fighting the feeling of the moment, afraid to act on it, afraid to be known for acting on it, afraid to know ourselves for acting on it, when all our heart cries out for is to be heard, to be seen, to be touched, to be acknowledged, to be loved. Imagine if a flower fought that way!

Here is the wisom of simplicity:
Rest and be thankful.
Turn your face towards the Light.
Find the passion.
Give thanks.
Know hope.
Live your dreams today.

Blessings.
