Everybody is looking for inspiration - and we look outside ourselves for it. We look to people, to fantastic feats of nature, to teachers, saints, gurus, words of wisdom from great poets...the only problem is that often times our search is slightly moved by judgment.
Isn't every moment an inspiration? Isn't every moment a gift? I love a nice sunset as much as the next person, but isn't every sunset, all weather, all of nature in any condition something to behold in wonder? We love those happy days off so that we can be inspired to keep trudging to work, right? But it is only because of our judgment that we don't deem every day a day of inspiration.
In some ways it's like we are seeking an ever elusive distant point of perfection (outside of ourselves) to just give us enough inspiration to keep up, when really, keeping up is entirely from within.
The without experiences, the words of a wise poet, the genius of a brilliant sunset or an awe-inspiring vista, even though they are very beautiful, the inspiration of these experiences is that they trigger the human's internal desire for greatness beyond self. It is your own internal greatness beyond self that recognizes its desire for realization, and manifests in the feeling of inspiration. It is not external greatness which inspires you and gives you strength in life, but the trigger of the recognition of your very own personal greatness.
Every moment has the same potential for inspiring you as the most gorgeous of sights, the wisest of words, the most incredible experiences, but the inspiration is only a reminder that you are the greatness you seek without. And you come by that greatness by being present with it, by honoring who you are, by being commited to living your passion with your whole being.
Go out into the world and bless the world with who you are.
Blessings.
