What Are You Going to Do About it?

The energy right now seems almost frenetic, feverish, dizzying. I am getting probably 5-6 emails a day from various organizations urging me (and sometimes in not so graceful ways) to DO SOMETHING. Not only are my days so action packed with work and the normal duties of life and motherhood, but I get the extra added benefit of implied guilt because there is only now, this time when I spend writing, left over in my day to DO SOMETHING.

Well, I'm doing it. Please, please, please, remember the power of your prayer, the power of your mantras and the power of your presence and passion. If you can stay in alignment with your highest truth, you are doing something. If you can remember to speak positively, with hope and strength, you are doing something. If you can remember to pray and put the power of your prayer out in the universe, you are doing something.

In fact, these are maybe more powerful than all the canvassing and help being asked of us. yes, these are tough times, the energy is intense and heavy, but harping on that fact isn't going to change it. The mantra - things are going to change for the better because I am contributing my prayer - is powerful beyond measure. Engaging your heart and refusing to act from a place of fear - is powerful beyond measure.

These are things we can do. In a busy, busy day where we can barely find time to breathe, much less sleep and keep on top of a seemingly endless list of tasks and chores, we can always pray, we can always chant, we can always hold a neutral mind, we can always apply ourselves to expanding love into the world, we can make a huge difference in how we think, act, and speak.

Never underestimate the power of the heart - it is much, much stronger than any forces of perceived evil. What you can do about it, is to counteract it with your heart, your very goodness, and the power of your prayer.

Blessings.
