There are ways to be full, and there are ways to be full. We can stuff ourselves to oblivion with gourmet goodies or greasy flings, we can exercise until we drop from sheer exhaustion, we can crank the music up so loud that it changes the very rhythm of our hearts... There are so many ways to be full and yet the choice is in whether we stuff ourselves to the point of non existence or simply sip to allow the cup to fill, as the rain barrel ineveitably gets filled even when it only rains a few drops at a time.
The one is a desperate attempt to avoid feeling, the other the willingness to allow feeling free flow in and through us. The one shatters our very nervous system, depletes us from energy and only temporarily assuages the feelings, the other calms and soothes us, allows the natural bouyancy of joy to fill us up naturally like spring water pushing its way to the surface of our being.
There are ways to be full, and there are ways to be full. We cannot fight this thing called life. We cannot fight the disappointments, the resentments, the anger, the sorrow, the aching desire to be who we really are and be loved for it, the fear that we might end up dead before we have done what we came here to do. We cannot fight - we can only be strengthened by our sensitivity, the sheer ability to feel and to allow those things to float through, unheld and unrestricted, so that they may leave room for the passion of our true selves to well up and spill over.
Choose, instead of the fear, to be full with the push of passionate spirit that says to the world, "This is who I am. This is my truth. All is well." Because it is in that place that silence is so loud, that it vibrates your every cell with love and truth, so that your passion is unleashed in ultimate convergence with God, and you are full beyond belief.
Blessings.
