We think that bursting out of our inner shells requires us to become rebels, outlaws or worse, outcasts. But it's not true. Very often the scenario of our childhood is vastly interspersed wtih karmic lessons. We are given that fertile ground in our lives because we have things to learn. We had parents who were too strict, too overbearing, too controlling, too lenient, too tolerant, too intolerant - whatever it was, it was creating the basis from which we could launch ourselves into our destinies.
When we are young we are forever questioning, who am I, what is my purpose, what am I supposed to do, why are things this way or that way. All of these questions give us feeding ground for the personal growth that it takes for us to make the decision to be happy.
Bursting out of the shell is really none other than our recognition of the fact that we have the right to be happy, and that it is up to us to make it happen.
Who is the real you? When was the last time you threw your head back and genuinely laughed? When was the last time you exuded exuberance? When was the last time you danced on the top of a mountain with your arms outstretched? When was the last time you cried? When was the last time you made love with every fiber of your being? When was the last time you really talked with a friend? When was the last time you showed your heart to someone? When was the last time you cuddled? When was the last time you took long, deep breaths for 5 minutes or more? When was the last time you looked every single person you met deeply in the eyes?
Burst out of the shell of complacency, and step into the vibrancy of your being.
Whatever you can do
or dream you can do
Begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.
Begin it today. - Goethe
Blessings.
