The Us and Them Thing

The reality of life is that we are all simply molecules, which make up a large area of space. In other words, we are one. So there really isn't any Us and Them, but then again, there is.

As long as we think we can distinguish an Us and Them - WE are not there at the oneness place yet. If we think that WE see and identify an Us and Them scenario, we're not one. Oneness is a concept that plenty of people grasp, but only intellectually. To live it is to transcend Us and Them so fully as to know that Us and Them doesn't actually exist, it is simply a perception.

There are some scary things going on in the world today - it sure would be easy to blame a bunch of incompetent politicians, but it's not about Them. We put them in office, and we haven't ordered them to do their job, which is to serve the public. We're like parents without boundaries - "oh, no, don't do that. Ok. No, no, don't do it again. I said, don't do it again. You are very naughty. Now don't do that. I'm warning you, don't do that again. OK. Now I said..." We are not creating consequences for unacceptable behavior.

But I digress. Or maybe I don't digress. Healthy boundaries and consequences are traits of empowered people. Empowered people understand that it's not about Them. The other guys aren't the bad guys, there aren't any bad guys, there is only the sequence of action and consequence.

Your action, my action, we are all One. The actions of others affect us, and our actions affect others. The moment we rise and take hold of the notion that it is not up to anyone else, it is up to us, is the moment when we take the responsiiblity for the course of the planet.

Step up.

Blessings.
