We have to do the things we love. These are expressions of the truest part of ourselves often buried under the pressure of the mundane. "No, no," we say, "I can't dance around, I have to pay the rent." "No, No, I can't spend hours painting the most magnificent sunset I have ever seen, I have to go to work." "No, no, I can't sit and ponder the exact words to create a poem, I have laundry to do, meals to be cooked, dishes to be washed, babies to be changed, work to be done, bills to be paid..."
But we HAVE to do the things we love. That expression is Who We Really Are and it needs to see the light of day. What happened to being able to drink a cup of coffee with a friend, without a cell phone, without rushing off to another engagement... We live in the time of technical advancement, but it is also the time of frenzied activity levels; it's hard to sit still and have a very deep and real conversation.
We love the things we love because they liberate the parts of us that are buried under the frenetic and crazy levels of unending "To Do" lists. The push, the stress, the pulsing have to's, these all come from the lower chakras. It all needs to be transformed away from the fear and the survival and the ego, through to the heart so that we can experience liberation from that self same fear and survival and ego, because that is where our passion lives.
I know, I know, life is crazy, there are so many demands on our time and our attention, but give yourself 10 minutes a day for that which you love, that which allows you to blossom, that which jiggles the passion.
Blessings.
