Isolation is the scourge of the modern day "civilized" "first world" society. We are hooked up technologically, but we are missing the touch of a real hug, the feel of someone's aura, the visual, audio, sensational essence of shared space.
We have gotten all too touchy about things. It's like we can't share the road, we can't share an office, we can't share life with others. Our insanely busy life with negative zero downtime over-sensitizes us to the point where we can't even handle being with people. Everything becomes an irritant.
And yet - the soul, the body and the spirit crave it. Our innate nature is not a lone being, but a part of a whole human race. There is no quality of life in constant irritation, we turn reactionary, intolerant, even angry. All for the experience of another human.
Isolation is not a healthy thing when it becomes your whole life.
This time of year is such a hodgepodge of alternating extremes. Take some time for some one-on-one. There is no greater gift. It is not purchasable, it will never go on sale (so don't wait), and there is nothing more personal. And if you can, bring your consciousness to the moment. Think outside your box. Take that one-on-one time without a TV on, without a cell phone present, somewhere quiet where conversation, real conversation is possible. Shake hands, hug, touch. Breathe in the space. Feel your auras meshing. Be present, present, present with this moment. It's precious.
Blessings.
