The Day My Life Changed

It was one of those days with an overwhelming "Aha!" sensation, the recognition that no matter what happened to me, how I responded to it was what made me who I am, the moment I recognized CHOICE. That is the day my life changed, inexorably and forever.

Here are the lessons:

- There is no change I can set myself up for that happens outside of myself.

- Kindness we give is in direct relation to the riches we receive, gold or otherwise.

- Opening the heart is worth more than a gazillion words.

- Showing your love has more value than anything else you can give a person.

- Hope is a jewel we are blessed with. It's good to keep it polished and generally take care of it.

- Tomorrow holds for me every promise of every dream if only I dare to live and be who I really am.

Resolutions are just the things we put off until tomorrow, rather than start today. Change doesn't begin in the future, it doesn't even necessarily start with an action, it starts with a choice. Our lives become what we want them to be when we start making the choices that will make it so, when we love ourselves enough to make those choices.

Don't put it off, don't wait another day, another year, don't wait at all. In this moment right now, you hold the key to bringing everything to your life that you desire - - by choosing to live it rather than dream/fantasize about it.
