Sometimes we have to just bow to the Infinite inherent in every facet, every situation in life. It's all good and well to fight and cry and pound our fists on the floor or the door, rabid and unhappy that life is not somehow different than it is, but in the end, life is still what it is.
Our power lies in our ability to adapt and to change. Our ultimate power lies in both presence and gratitude. Adapting does not mean settling for less. And change is not for change's sake. We adapt by recognizing that life is what it is. And we change by clearly determining what we need to do and placing one foot in front of the other. Our salvation is in recognizing that this step is a beautiful, glorious, unmatchable moment of infinite grace, and this step is a beautiful, glorious, unmatchable moment of infinite grace, and this step...and this step...
Ah, yes, there is plenty to gripe about in life - it is easy to find fault with everything in creation, but it is infinitely more satisfactory to find thanks for everything in creation, EVERYTHING. There is some blessing, no matter how we first think of it, there is some blessing we can find, if we so choose.
By bowing to the perfection of this moment as it is, we free ourselves from the confines of what we think must be, and open ourselves to the unlimited potential of the Universe.
Blessings.
