Out of Balance

Out of balance need not be.
Somehwere between poverty consciousness
and self-entitlement,
there is a place of peaceful
flowing prosperity.
Somewhere between the need
for external praise to feel validated in life
and the egotistical self-love,
there is a give and take
between humans that is priceless.

There are so many extremes out there,
but like all the body armor we carry,
they just serve to stop us from living.
There is so much stimuli
that we have become afraid of silence.
There is so much noise,
that we can't hear our own minds
hum the Song of God.
There is so much pain in the
warrior stance of the extreme
that we become afraid of love.

Out of balance need not be.
Somewhere perched between
every extreme
lies the self we seek to protect
by hiding it away.
Honor it instead
honor it back to balance
and find love.
