The Distinct You

In India, the teacher, Baba he was called, heard a student boasting he was vegetarian to someone who partook of meat. He called the student to him and sent him to eat a chicken sandwich.

We think the paths are our salvation, but they are only the tool. The only salvation there is is Oneness and Oneness doesn't happen with separation. Whatever the tool is, checked out space cadet barely present, the drinking, smoking, fornicating bad boy, the straight book thumping moralist, the vegetarian, yogurt eating yogi, the red dress wearers and the blue dress wearers and the jeans wearers...

That outside shell which you use to define yourself is just an illusion, it is not who you really are. Who You Really Are is a spiritual being living a human life and struggling to find the strength, the courage and the grace to let the passion all the way out, that passion of being You, that passion that when you breathe you know you are One.

Pride is of no value - life has its ways of sending you to eat the chicken sandwich!

Peal off the outer layers, the definitions, strip yourself until all that is left are your cells, and the cells around you, until they mesh as one. There, in that moment, you will find the distinct You within the Oneness.
