Change is not Outside

Change is not outside of yourself. No one's magical powers are going to make things perfect for you, there are no fairy godmothers, and no magic wands, no leaders who are powerful enough to make it all work. You really do have to make things work for yourself.

It could seem selfish, and yet - in that - you have to be aware that the change you create for yourself automatically touches the human race, our overgrown tribe, if you so will, because we are all connected in one way or another.

Marianne Williamson wrote: "As we are liberated from our own fear, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same." Every time we take the power of change for our own lives into our own hands, we are giving others permission to make changes in their lives and to move closer to the happiness they desire. Every time we knock down a fear, we actaully encourage others to do so as well.

Our presence in the world touches so many more people than we think, and especially in today's day and age, where technology magnifies and expands our reach beyond what we could have even imagined years ago. The change you take on to create happiness in your life is like a light you shine brightly into the world.
