There is Enough

We are a modern world, yet we live deeply bound to the ancient animal fear that there is not enough. We behave as if there really wasn't enough and we are driven by this concept, goaded by it, sheparded by it.

There is enough. There is enough food to go around, enough health care to go around, enough money to go around, enough space to go around, there is, for all practical intents and purposes, enough of everything to go around.

This gnawing space of fear is debilitating; it deadens us to beauty and plenty, to the abundant glory of the moment, to the fact that we share this planet with a billion other facets of creation; it deadens us to ourselves, and we feel we are not enough.

There is enough. Mathematicians and scientists can spill it out for you, yet sales and marketing will continue to convince you it's not true, while religions will fight to tell you that even to want enough is to sin. As long as there is profitability in convincing you that there isn't enough, it can and will be used against you. As long as there is a profit margin attached there will always be those who are too, too willing to convince you that there isn't enough and you have to do more to just barely scrape by for yourself.

You may choose to believe this, or not. The difference is only in how you work. You can work to serve yourself, with the plaguing fear and never-ending hope that maybe you'll have enough someday. Or you can work to serve others and the fear will have no foothold and be ousted, the hope you have will be substantiated, and there will always, always always be enough.

Everything is up to what you believe. Do you believe there is enough?

Blessings.
