Love and Truth

When you find love, in a friend, a lover, a spouse or whomever, you find a state of truth that represents the permanent state of perpetual growth together. Love is an amazing thing, not everyone can handle the truth of it. Those are the relationships that don't last.

Each person we love is the mirror who reflects our souls back to us. And you know how mercilessly revealing mirrors are! To see this truth is the gift of love, it gives us the opportunity to look at our reflection and see if it stands up to our highest image of ourselves, our highest goals, our highest destiny - and to take action to rectify it, if it doesn't.

Recognition of truth is only one small part of life, the living part is the part where you take action on the truth. To see truth, to merely intellectualize it and know it, and do nothing creates stagnation; for how do we grow, how do we become more in alignment with our own divinity, how do we change when we are as still and lifeless as death?

Love is not still and lifeless. Life isn't, either. Each experience we are given is a gift of deeper understanding of the purpose of our existence. We can see it and do nothing, or we can take action to live a fulfilled and happy life.

This is the gift of love - the state of truth which represents the permanent state of perpetual growth together.
