We are creatures of change and adaptation, but we sometimes forget that. We want everything to be constant, the same, like we know it, safe. Where there is no growth, there is death, and yet even death is change.
Life is a constant process of change and evolution. And yet while there is always room for improvement, that doesn't mean that right now isn't perfect. There is a delicate balance between understanding that this moment is the most powerful teacher we encounter in life, knowing its perfection, and understanding that it is only a short, fleeting moment in time.
We tend to grasp at this moment because it seems so nice, it feels good, maybe it's even perfect, but grasping itself is an illusion. It can't be held. The moment can only be experienced. When we can come to the place where we understand that and live it, we have fully embraced gratitude...this one moment is the most precious thing ever. And this one is the most precious thing ever. And this one...life becomes a constant experience of preciousness.
Herein lies the beauty of life. Each moment in its preciousness is the teacher. Change is constant, it is necessary. It is not only the essence of our survival and our evolution on the physical plain, but also on the spiritual plain. We bend and twist and flow, changing all the time, like the water finding its way. We create new paths, change and morph as needed, so that the river of our life can flow.
Breathe deep. Breathe deep and celebrate this incredible moment, the most precious thing ever.
Blessings.
