Can you be kind when you are pissy? Can you be kind when you are late? Can you be kind when you think life sucks? Can you be kind when you have a headache, a toothache, an injury?
Most of us can't. Automatically when things are going on with us, we are - quite naturally - focusing energy on ourselves and then it is hard to be kind.
If only it was a law!
If only we forced ourselves to think beyond our own skin, to go out of our way to be kind to others, no matter how we are feeling or what we are experiencing.
Acting out kindness in this manner is akin to the sacred practice of gratitude. We are pushed outside the limited realm of our own preconceptions and expectations, and in this process we become closer to the rest of the world, closer to Oneness, closer to the All. Everything is good, everything is perfect and we celebrate that in gratitude and kindness.
Creating a vibratory frequency of kindness requires letting go of the self and taking on instead universal consciousness. it's not about me, it's not "I", "I", "I", it is Thou. Ego is a powerful hide-preserver, but can we step beyond it? Now, now that we have the luxury to strive for human spirit rather than struggle in fear of survival as human animals?
It's a real challenge to be kind in the light of what life hands you and in the midst of alot of reasonable explanations of why things are screwy for you - but are you up for the challenge?
1. Take a breath before speaking and speak kindly
2. Consider your action before taking it and act kindly
3. Recognize it if you have things going on that may be uncomfortable or downright
horrible, and reach beyond that place to be kind to another person
4. Go out of your way to do at least one good deed for someone each day (it's only
easy for a day or two!)
There is so much power in kindness - your own issues in life lessen, while your heart is nurtured and you become full.
Blessings.
